HALLOWEEN GARLANDS

Turn weaves of yarn into pumpkins, ghosts and spiders and string them across your home for some friendly yet festive decoration! These no-sew garlands are a super simple way to dress up a doorway, mantel or hang from a mirror. This is an easy project that your young ones could get involved in too! All you need is some string, coloured yarn, scissors, pipe cleaners and a dining chair – all items you can pick up from a haberdashery (though I assume you already have a chair!). There a loads of no-sew tutorials available online so you’re bound to find one that suits your theme.

2. GHOST TASSELS

screen-shot-2016-10-06-at-12-50-49Using white/cream yarn and a sharpie, you can create these adorable ghost tassels to hang around your home or hand out with party favours! Wrap the yarn around a piece of card 20 times and then slip a longer piece of yarn under the wrapped piece and tie a knot. Pull the piece of card out from inside the wrapped yarn and then tie another piece of yarn three quarters of the way up to help form the ghost’s head. Using the permanent marker (or sharpie pen) draw on your ghoul’s eyes and there you have it!

3. SKULL BLANKET

Whether you want to crochet or knit a blanket, there are hundreds of step by step tutorials for both beginners and advanced crafters all over the internet. This Halloween inspired blanket is ideal for young children or babies who may want to join in the fun! Or perhaps use it as a throw for your guests to sit on on the sofa, or as a tablecloth underneath a creepy display of candles and pumpkins!

4. PATCHWORK BLANKET

Likewise, you can always patchwork square yourself a blanket using coloured and printed fabrics that match the aesthetic of your party! This orange, gold and black design is covered in celestial imagery, depicting mysticism and traditional Halloween silhouettes such as pumpkins, black cats, witches and astrology – perfect once again as a sofa or chair throw.
